Nepal vs Netherlands: Nepal lost to the Netherlands by 6 wickets

Kathmandu. In the first match of the T-20 World Cup, Nepal lost to the Netherlands by 6 wickets. The target of 107 runs presented by Nepal was chased down by the Netherlands in 18.4 overs with the loss of 4 wickets.

Nepal, who presented a low target, missed many opportunities to take wickets in the game. Sompal Kami and captain Rohit Poudel missed the opportunity to take the catch.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Nepal scored 106 runs for the loss of all wickets. Captain Rohit Paudel scored the highest 35 runs for Nepal. He hit 5 fours in 37 balls.

Nepal, who had a bad start to the game, lost both the openers in the fourth over. Bhurtel scored 7 runs and Asif Shaikh got out after scoring 4 runs. 

Karan KC contributed 17 runs and Gulsan Jha contributed 14 runs. Anil Shah added 11 runs in 12 balls. Similarly, Kushal Malla scored 9 runs in 9 balls and got out. Other batsmen could not score runs in double figures.

For the Netherlands, Tim Pringle and Logan van Wyk took 3 wickets each, while Paul van Meekren and Bas De Lide took 2 wickets each.
