Nepal Oil Corporation Announces Fuel Price Hike Effective from Midnight
Kathmandu, June 30 - Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products. The corporation raised the prices based on the new purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation on Sunday. The decision to increase the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene was made during the corporation's board meeting on Sunday, which will take effect from Monday morning.
According to the new prices, petrol has been increased by NPR 2 per litre, while diesel and kerosene have been increased by NPR 5 per litre.
Now, in the first category regions including Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, the price of petrol will be NPR 164.50 per litre and the price of diesel will be NPR 154.50 per litre. In the second category regions including Surkhet and Dang, the price of petrol will be NPR 166 per litre and the price of diesel will be NPR 156 per litre. In the third category regions including Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, the price of petrol will be NPR 167 per litre and the price of diesel will be NPR 157 per litre.
The prices of aviation fuel and LP gas remain unchanged. The increased prices will be effective from 12 AM tonight.
