Bhagwati Hydro Power Announces Dividend; How Much in Bonus Shares and Cash?

Kathmandu. Bhagwati Hydro Power Development Company (BGWT) has called for the 24th Annual General Meeting to propose the dividend distribution from the profits of the last fiscal year. The meeting will be held on Ashwin 16, Wednesday, at 11 AM at Arpan Banquet, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

The company has proposed to distribute 4% bonus shares and a cash dividend of 10.7368% (totaling 14.736%) to shareholders. This proposal will only be implemented after approval from the Electricity Regulatory Commission and the general assembly.

The annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81, discussions on assets, and profit-loss will be addressed in the meeting, while topics such as the appointment and determination of remuneration for the auditor for 2081/82 will also be discussed.

The company has decided to close the books on Ashwin 2 to qualify for the dividend and to participate in the general assembly. Thus, only shareholders who are listed until Bhadra 31 will receive dividends and be allowed to participate in the assembly.
