IFC Plans to Expand Investment in Nepal
Kathmandu. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is set to expand its investment in Nepal.
During a meeting today with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel at the Ministry of Finance, IFC's Regional Director for South Asia, Imad Fakih, provided information about IFC's plan to expand investment in Nepal.
Last year, IFC invested 100 million US dollars in Nepal.
Regional Director Fakih mentioned that renewable energy, infrastructure development, and economic participation are priorities for IFC, stating that he and his team will play a significant role in broadening investment in Nepal.
On this occasion, Finance Minister Paudel emphasized the need for additional investment to improve Nepal's economy, urging that the expansion of investment should take into account the country's priorities and needs.
