Janakpur Bolts Reach NPL Final Defeating Karnali Yaks by 2 Wickets
Kathmandu, Poush 4. Janakpur Bolts have secured a place in the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket by defeating Karnali Yaks by 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 119 runs at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday, Janakpur achieved victory by losing 8 wickets in 19 overs. Jimmy Neesham made a significant contribution with 45 runs. On the bowling side, Karnali's Bipin Sharma took the most wickets with 3.
Batting first, Karnali scored 118 runs in 20 overs. Karnali's Gulshan Jha contributed 25 runs, Dev Khanal added 24 runs, and William Basisto scored 14 runs.
Janakpur's bowlers Lalit Rajbanshi, Jimmy Neesham, and Mohammad Mohsin each took 2 wickets.
Now, on Saturday, Janakpur will compete against Sudurpashchim Royals for the title in the final.
