Energy Minister Says, 'Now Load Shedding Will Occur in the Evening'

Kathmandu, Chait 6. Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has informed that there will be some load shedding during the evening from now on.
In the meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Minister Khadka stated that load shedding has already begun for industries and now it will also happen in the homes of the general public.
Stating that the supply of electricity is currently less than the demand, the minister argued that load shedding will occur.
The electricity authority, which is 100% government-funded, reported that while the private sector is producing 700 megawatts and 2800 megawatts of electricity, it was still unable to supply electricity today.
'There was load shedding yesterday, and there is today,' he said, 'Yesterday, the electricity to industries and factories was cut off to supply power to households, and it is the same today. Currently, 825 megawatts of electricity is being imported from India. We have nearly 1000 megawatts of electricity. Now, there is a situation where load shedding will occur in homes during the evening.'
After India imposed electricity cuts, the country is now facing load shedding again.
