Governor Poudel's Asset Details Revealed: How Much Investment in Shares?

Kathmandu. The Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Bishwonath Poudel, has made public the asset details under his and his wife, Pratibha Poudel's name. According to the public details, Governor Poudel possesses 45 tolas of gold, some of which is inherited while some was purchased for 1.5 million rupees.

It is mentioned that a house has been constructed in Bhainsipati, Lalitpur from ancestral property, while land appears to have been purchased in Lalitpur and Nawalparasi in the name of Mrs. Poudel.

Governor Poudel has made the largest investments in promoter shares. He has invested 244,176 shares in Sanima Bank Limited, 92,579 shares in Sanima Mai Hydro Power, and 188,000 shares in Sanima Middle Tamor Hydro Power. Additionally, he has 186,834 shares in Globeco Pvt. Ltd., and another investment with 75,000 shares is noted.

Similarly, there is an investment of 500,000 shares in Sanyukta Urja Hydro Power and 250,000 shares in Chitwan Energy Limited.

According to the asset details, there is a total of 2.7 million rupees saved in various bank accounts under the names of Governor Poudel and his wife.
