Khalti Launches Smart Deposit Facility Offering Up to 7% Annual Interest

Kathmandu — For the first time in Nepal's financial sector, a facility has been launched that allows regular savings through a digital wallet. Khalti has started the 'Smart Deposit' service in collaboration with Manjushree Finance, whereby users can start saving from a minimum of NPR 100.

🔑 Key Features of the Service:

• Funds can be deposited daily, weekly, or monthly.

• A period of 6 months to 60 months can be selected.

• The savings process can be initiated with just a few taps on the Khalti app.

• An account will be automatically opened with Manjushree Finance, with funds deposited along with interest.

💰 Interest Rate:

According to the guidelines of Nepal Rastra Bank, interest will be provided based on the RD rate published monthly by Manjushree Finance. Currently, there is a possibility of earning up to 7% annual interest.

1. Log in to the Khalti app.

2. Go to 'Financial Service'.

3. Tap on 'Smart Deposit'.

4. Select the amount, interval, and duration to start saving.
