Significant Drop in Gold Prices After Tihar, Decrease of NPR 11,600 in a Single Day
Kathmandu — Following the Tihar holiday, there has been a noticeable drop in gold prices in the Nepali market on Sunday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold has decreased by NPR 11,600 in a single day, now standing at NPR 241,900 per tola.
Previously, on Kartik 3, the price of gold was NPR 253,500 per tola. Although prices were not published due to the Tihar holidays, there had already been a drop in the international market, the effects of which are seen today.
The price of silver has also decreased. Today it dropped by NPR 265, trading at NPR 3,015 per tola. On Kartik 3, silver was trading at NPR 3,280.
In the international market, today gold is trading at $ 4,113 per ounce and silver at $ 48, which appears to have a direct impact on the Nepali market.
