NAASA Securities Files Complaint with Cyber Bureau for Damaging Company Reputation

NAASA Securities Company Limited (Broker No. 58) has filed a complaint with the Nepal Police Headquarters Cyber Bureau, Bhotahiti, claiming that its reputation has been harmed. This complaint was registered on Baisakh 30, Wednesday, Reference No. 1906.

According to the complaint, individuals with TikTok accounts named SHARESATHI and SUNDAR sharediscussion have created audio and video using photos of the applicant company's building. The company stated that even though there is no basis or evidence, misleading information has been posted against it.

What are the allegations?

According to NAASA Securities, the TikTok account holders have published videos with the following statements:

“Action against NAASA Securities (Broker No. 58), weakness in protecting investor capital, impact on the financial system, and reduced market confidence.”

The company claims that these statements have been posted without any basis or evidence. The videos have been publicly shared via TikTok with the intention of gaining personal financial benefit, which the company believes has damaged its business reputation.

Company's Demands

NASA Securities has made two demands to the Cyber Bureau:

1. Remove the offensive TikTok videos.

2. Take maximum action against the relevant account holders as per existing laws.

The complaint has been signed on behalf of the company, and the company seal has been affixed. Additionally, screenshots of the videos have also been submitted to the Cyber Bureau as attached documents.

Investors Also Warned

Along with the complaint, NASA Securities has issued a separate notice to warn its valued customers. The company's official notice states:

“It has been found that some individuals on social media are creating audio and video using photos of NASA Securities Company Ltd.'s building to harm the company's reputation for their personal financial gain.”

The company further states, “We are seriously concerned about the unfounded allegations made against us without any basis or evidence, and we have filed a complaint with the Cyber Bureau to initiate strict action against the individuals.”

The company has requested investors and customers to be cautious of negative and misleading content available on social media.
