New Eligibility Criteria for IPOs Based on Sector
The government has directed the Nepal Securities Board to issue guidelines for determining common eligibility for companies planning to conduct initial public offerings (IPOs).
Kathmandu - The government has directed the Nepal Securities Board to issue immediate guidelines for determining common eligibility for companies planning to conduct initial public offerings (IPOs).
Separate specific eligibility criteria will be established for hydroelectricity, manufacturing and processing, hotels and tourism, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries. The action plan includes necessary policy and legal reforms, including price discovery and securities allocation systems, to issue IPOs at market-driven prices.
The government is prepared to implement these reforms by the end of Poush 2083.
