Siddhartha Bank Proposes 20 Percent Dividend for Shareholders

Kathmandu. Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) has proposed to distribute a total of 20 percent dividend to its shareholders from the profit of the fiscal year 2082/83.

The bank's 482nd Board of Directors meeting has decided to distribute 10 percent bonus shares and 10 percent cash dividend from the current paid-up capital. The bank's current paid-up capital is approximately NPR 14 billion 79 crore.

According to the proposal, ordinary shareholders will receive approximately NPR 1 billion 47 crore 94 lakh worth of bonus shares. Similarly, it is proposed to distribute approximately NPR 1 billion 47 crore 94 lakh as cash dividend after tax purposes at 10 percent.

Thus, out of the total dividend proposed by the bank for ordinary shareholders, half is in bonus shares and half is in cash dividend.
