Development Hydro Power Proposes 10.5263 Percent Dividend

Kathmandu. Development Hydro Power Company Limited (BHCL) has proposed to distribute a total of 10.5263 percent dividend to its shareholders from the profits of the fiscal year 2082/83. The proposal was made by the company's board meeting held on Bhadra 31.

The company has proposed to distribute Rs. 90 crore 91 lakh 1 thousand 300 as 10 percent bonus shares. Accordingly, approximately Rs. 9 crore 9 lakh 10 thousand 130 worth of 909101.3 bonus shares will be distributed.

Likewise, for tax purposes on bonus shares, the company has proposed 0.5263 percent cash dividend. This amounts to approximately Rs. 4 lakh 78 thousand 600.

Thus, the company has proposed a total of 10 percent bonus shares and 0.5263 percent cash dividend making a total of 10.5263 percent dividend for the fiscal year 2082/83.

The proposed dividend will be distributed to shareholders only after receiving prior approval from the Electricity Regulatory Commission and being passed by the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
