The Ministry of Finance approved SEBON's decision two weeks earlier. The adjustments involve a 10 percent reduction in commission rates compared to previous structures. The commission rates will range from 0.243 percent to 0.36 percent under the updated provisions.
Transactions up to Rs 50,000 will incur a 0.36 percent rate, while those between Rs 50,000 and Rs 500,000 will have a rate of 0.33 percent. For transactions between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 20 lakhs, the rate has been set at 0.306 percent. Similarly, transactions ranging from Rs 20 lakhs to Rs 1 Crore will carry a rate of 0.27 percent, while amounts exceeding Rs 1 Crore will be subject to a rate of 0.243 percent.
